DescriptionAmazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development manager to drive growth and adoption of our cloud optimization products and services through the AWS Well-Architected Partner Program in the Americas region. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for building mindshare and accelerating usage of AWS cloud optimization services, including the AWS Well-Architected Framework, AWS Health, and AWS Cloud Adoption Framework, across AWS Strategic Partners and leading Global Systems Integrators in North America?As a seasoned and Strategic Accounts Business Development professional, you will leverage your deep industry expertise, executive-level relationships, and technical acumen to engage at the CXO level and champion the value of cloud optimization. You will work closely with partners to drive adoption, design impactful programs and initiatives, and execute go-to-market strategies on a national and global scale. By establishing and growing their business and technical aptitude, you will drive customer satisfaction and overall end customer adoption.The ideal candidate will possess a business background that enables them to engage at the CXO level, a sales background that enables them to interact with partners and sales/field reps, and the ability to engage across multiple vertical markets to achieve results. They should also think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, and to build and convey compelling customer value propositions around adopting Cloud Optimization Success tools such as AWS Health and Well-Architected as a mechanism.This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of cloud optimization adoption among key AWS partners and contribute significantly to AWS's continued leadership in the cloud market.Key job responsibilities
Lead strategic business development activities to increase strategic and GSI partner adoption of AWS cloud optimization products and services via AWS Well Architected Partner Program
Assess partner needs, develop strategic enablement and adoption plans for partners, create and launch customized initiatives to drive Well-Architected best practices and usage of optimization tools
Extract best-practice knowledge, reference architectures, and patterns from engagements to promote re-use with the worldwide AWS ecosystem
Share insights and lessons learned with AWS Well-Architected, Partner, and Support teams to contribute to the continual improvement of AWS platform and services based on Customer needs
Collaborate cross-functionally with AWS partner team, sales, professional services, and other teams to deliver an integrated partner experience
Analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations to continuously improve partner programs and results
Position requires travel generally, between 10 - 25%

7+ years experience in business development, partner development, enterprise sales or alliances management experience
Experience cultivating and managing strategic partnerships with large global organizations
Knowledge of AWS and/or other cloud computing platforms and services and a proven ability to engage at the CXO level as a trusted advisor
Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field
Experience with cloud partnership, alliance, or sales management
Experience designing and overseeing cloud migration and modernization initiatives
Background in financial modelling and building business cases for technology investments
Hands-on experience with AWS services and architectural best practices, AWS Solution Architect Associate Certified Preferred

The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
