Network Engineer, LeadThe Challenge:A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable agencies and mission partners to achieve their mission, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and sof tware, requires a combination of te chn ical skill and careful planning.As a network engineer on our team, you'll consult for a DoD client as they work on a reliable network to support critical missions. You'll provide te chn ical leadership in a team assisting SMEs, team members, and customers with the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You'll then lead the planning of acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you'll put your hardware and sof tware talents to good use. This is your chance to support your team with growing their knowledge base with Cisco networking hardware, firewalls, and KG systems while broadening the scope of your network engineering work.Empower change with us.You Have:- 15+ years of experience with network information requirements using analysis of network engineers in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale networking infrastructure
- Experience with design and configuration of Cisco routers and switches and KGs, including 142, 175, 250, and 255 design and configuration
- Experience with configuring or using network management tools, including SolarWinds, VINE, or GemOne
- Knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol and Virtual Routing and Forwarding
- Ability to design architecture, including the sof tware, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements
- Ability to ensure network systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures and ensure that the network and transport layers of the common operating environment are compliant
- Ability to evaluate problems of workflows and network usage analytically and systematically
- TS / SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain IAT II Certification within 30 days of hire
- Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewall
- Experience with leading or supervising a team and working as part of an integrated product team ( IPT ) to deliver services to customers
- Ability to c ond uct in-depth te chn ical and non-te chn ical conversations concerning work
- Ability to convey te chn ical and non-te chn ical discussions into easily understandable and grammatically correct written documentation
- Ability to work and lead under pressure in a complex and changing te chn ical environment
- Possession of excellent customer service, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree
- CCNP Enterprise Certification
- If this position is listed as remote or hybrid, you'll periodically work from a Booz Allen or client site facility.
- If this position is listed as onsite, you'll work with colleagues and clients in person, as needed for the specific role.
