Job DescriptionOracle is looking for a Senior Director in AI infrastructure workload performance and services in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). We are building the next generation of cloud. Our customers run their business on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with the best-in-class compute, storage, networking, database, security, and an ever-expanding set of foundational cloud-based services. This is a critical leadership role and you will be responsible for the strategic direction and roadmap. You will partner with other teams to drive new initiatives and deliver new software/hardware products and features. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of AI services, cloud architecture and experience leading large organizations.As a Senior Director for AI Infrastructure workload performance and services, you will lead a highly skilled team of engineers looking at AI workload performance optimization and new AI infrastructure services and innovation. This team will work closely with our platform teams to understand and optimize MFU in our systems and recommend relevant new service investments while executing in our long term vision in this space. This team will also help communicate workload optimization best practices and create best known practices and configurations for the use of our AI infrastructure for training and inferencing with open source and first party ai services and models, run and review diagnostic and troubleshooting processes to support our work, and ensure successful large AI infrastructure workload performance and service implementation based on our AI infrastructure strategy.Career Level - M5Responsibilities

Direct, lead and coach a team of AI workload engineers.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry best practices, ensuring compliance and driving innovation within AI workloads performance for the organization.

Act as a thought leader and trusted advisor to the SVP of AI infrastructure.

This role will require leadership partnering across multiple organizations within the Compute , Networking and Hardware Product Groups.

Partner with Product to recommend an effective AI infrastructure workload performance and ai services strategy to improve performance and stability for our customers’ AI workloads.

Collaborate with key stakeholders, including customers, industry experts, and internal teams, to understand technology trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, shaping the ai workload and services roadmap and strategy accordingly.

Lead the team to develop processes that support performance optimization for AI workloads.

Work with executive leadership to develop a robust GTM Strategy and support Product managers launching new SKUs in different regions.

Be an inspiring leader for defining the workload performance and ai infra services strategy and program for cloud compute.

Build relationships with industry and research through exec level engagements.

Maintain courteous, professional, and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.

Defining new KPIs to inform decision making and prioritization.

Providing regular updates and interacting with executive management to influence the portfolio.

Sets Goals and Expectations for performance and works with employees to establish specific, measurable goals and commitments.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
