Ford is developing leadership at the forefront of connected, digital platforms that will revolutionize every aspect of how vehicles function, the way people interact with them, and the value those vehicles provide.What you'll doWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist to drive the development, deployment, and enhancement of foundational capabilities for Yield Management Advanced Analytics. These include, but not limited to, demand forecasting, segmentation, sensitivity analysis, and optimization efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, advanced analytics, and a proven track record of improving business processes through data-driven decision making. This role will involve assessing existing toolsets, identifying opportunities for innovation & enhancement, and implementing solutions with paramount focus on business impact.Foundational Capabilities for Yield Management:

Development, validation, and implementation of foundational capabilities for Yield Management including demand forecasting, sensitivity analysis, product/customer/market segmentation, optimization, etc.

Collaborate closely with the product development team, and our business stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement on these fundamental capabilities.

Build rapid prototypes and test & assess the business utility of these solutions.

Standardize these capabilities, as applicable, across data science use cases and business engagements.

Toolset Assessment and Enhancement:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing data science toolsets and methodologies.

Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in existing tools and processes.

Recommend and implement enhancements to existing tools or adoption of new technologies/algorithms to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing, finance, and IT, to gather requirements and ensure alignment on advanced analytics initiatives.

Communicate complex data science concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Present findings, recommendations, and progress updates to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.

Data Governance and Quality:

Ensure data integrity, quality, and accuracy in all advanced analytics models and processes.

Implement best practices for data management, including data cleaning, preprocessing, and validation.

Establish and maintain robust documentation for all data science projects and methodologies.

This position is remote unless the candidate lives within 50 miles of Dearborn, MI.You'll have

Bachelor’s in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field of study.

5+ years of experience in a data science role with a focus on demand forecasting and optimization.

5+ years of experience in Python and SQL.

3+ years of experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn) and optimization tools.

3+ years of leadership and team management abilities.

3+ years of experience with data visualization tools and embedded application development (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Dash, Streamlit).

3+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Even better, you may have

Master's or Ph.D preferred.

Experience in the manufacturing industries, sales & marketing, Yield Management, Finance

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
