Hours: Cafe 7am–5pm | Lounge 5pm–12am

Jitters Cafe & Lounge is the newest destination in Burlington for great coffee, breakfast & lunch, and evening drinks and small plates. We’re opening soon, and we’re looking for energetic, passionate team members to join our inclusive and welcoming environment!

Kitchen Manager

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily kitchen operations, including prep, cooking, and plating.

Manage kitchen staff schedules and ensure coverage.

Maintain inventory, order supplies, and control food costs.

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health codes.

Collaborate with owners/managers on menu execution and specials.

Train and mentor new kitchen staff.

Requirements:

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in kitchen management or supervisory role.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Knowledge of food safety standards (ServSafe certification preferred).

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Cooks

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and small plate menu items.

Follow standardized recipes and portion controls.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep and cooking areas.

Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow.

Requirements:

Experience preferred but motivated beginners welcome.

Knowledge of safe food handling practices.

Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.

Flexible availability, including weekends.
