Cork Restaurant in Stowe is looking for a line cook to join our team. We are locally owned, value work/life balance, and love good wine & food. Positive & cooperative work environment with a seasoned team and prominent local following.
We are looking for experienced kitchen staff to cook, prep, and assist in other kitchen duties Thursday to Monday. There is room to grow and be creative if desired but also willing to train the right candidates/expand skill sets. We operate our kitchen Thursday through Monday from 4-9pm. Up to 40 hours per week, starting at $25 per hour/based on experience.
Closed Tuesday, Wednesday and all major holidays plus additional seasonal closures

Duties:
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist with menu planning and food preparation for a menu that is constantly evolving.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely production & service.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed.
Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items.
Experience:
Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
Familiarity with fine dining service standards and practices.
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation.
Knowledge of dietary restrictions and ability to accommodate special requests.
Experience working in a restaurant or dietary department is a plus.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Adapting to change in an ever evolving kitchen.
Maintaining positive attitude and professionalism.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
