South Side Inn is hiring Hotel Housekeepers

Ideal candidates will be detailed oriented, have the ability to work independently, with strong customer service skills.

Housekeeping Role: Clean, organize, and maintain hotel guest rooms and other public areas of a hotel. Transport laundry between guest rooms and laundry room, processing linens and towels daily. Provide friendly customer service to guests, replenishing amenities daily. Work with fellow staff to coordinate and communicate efficient work flow and smooth operations.

Part-time, with shifts available 7 days a week, approximately 9am - 3:30pm, with some variability (10am to 3pm minimum during typical turnovers, and flexibility in choosing schedule.

Responsibilities include:

-Clean, organize, and maintain guest rooms and other public areas and appliances of a small 21 room hotel on a daily, weekly and monthly schedule.

-Daily cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchenettes, changing bedding, taking out trash/recycling, dusting and polishing, detailing appliances, vacuuming; following safety and sanitation policies.

-Maintain Rooms: replenishing amenities like towels, soaps and shampoos.

-Laundry service: Transport laundry between guest rooms and in house laundry room. Spot treat linens and towels, run through washing machine, dry, fold and prepare for the next day.

-Restocking supply closets and cleaning carts with cleaning products, linens, and amenities.

-Maintenance: Changing light bulbs, reporting maintenance issues, room damages, equipment or appliance malfunctions to the manager.

-Job requires lifting, carrying, and walking up and down stairs.

Experience in customer service and housekeeping preferred, but will train the right candidate.
