Together, let’s embrace possibilities and change lives!Labcorp is seeking a Subsidiary Billing Specialist - Medical Records Outreach to join our Revenue Cycle Management Division. This individual will be is responsible for maximizing revenue for the company. This team interacts with health insurers to secure coverage and reimbursement for our patients. As an operational team, we are constantly looking for ways to improve processes and workflows, while maintaining and improving revenue. The result of our work is an innovative, flexible, highly scalable billing operations in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains all processes and policies to respond clearly to high volume medical records requests and phone inquiries
Mails/files/emails/scans correspondence
Communicates with a high volume of clinicians
Identifies issues and suggests potential improvements
Collaborates with your team and to develop best practices
Responds to a variety of clinician and insurance medical records billing related inquiries.
Requests, obtains and submits medical records to insurance providers and works cross-functionally across many departments (sales, operations, billing, and lab teams) to serve our patient and client needs.
Provides the best service and experience to all customers
Participates in projects that extend beyond your day-to-day responsibilities
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent, required
2 years of experience of high volumehealthinsurance billing, or medical record requests experience isrequired
Ability to request and fulfill a high volume of medical record requests
Concise and professional verbal communication skills to interact withclients, team members and management via various methods, i.e., telephone, email and virtually
Detail oriented with good organizational skills
Ability to multitask within multiple systems
Adaptable with changing duties, following an SOP but able to problem solve and deviate as required by specific requests
Ability to manage time and tasks independently while working under minimal supervision
Professional and courteous email communication
Enjoys problem-solving in a dynamic, fast paced, team-based and rapidly changing environment
Outstanding phone communication skills
Have high energy, be a self-starter, and a great team player
Possess a strong work ethic and commitment to improving patients’ lives
Be flexible and adaptable with a drive to go above and beyond
S trongly Preferred:
Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience
Xifin, CRM applications (i.e. Salesforce), preferred
Remote work requirements:
Dedicated work from home space
Internet download speed of at least 50 megabytes per second
