Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, mid-level accounting professional to join our team as a Staff Accountant. This role is essential in ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency across our company.

This position offers flexibility—we are open to hybrid (remote/in-office) work arrangements and can accommodate both full-time and part-time candidates based on experience and fit.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable Management:

Process invoices and credits, ensuring accurate GL account postings

Reconcile vendor statements and maintain vendor records (W-9s, etc.)

Communicate with vendors regarding billing inquiries

Payroll Support (as backup):

Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing

Support employee onboarding and payroll-related communications

Help manage tax filings and compliance reports

General Accounting Support:

Maintain accurate financial records

Utilize accounting software for reporting and analysis

Work closely with the Financial Manager on reconciliations and financial reporting

Qualifications & Skills:

Strong computer proficiency, including experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Bill.com, Gusto a plus)

Understanding of GAAP principles and general accounting best practices

Advanced Excel/Spreadsheet skills

Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset

Ability to work independently while aligning with broader company goals

3–5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
