What You’ll Work On

The Program Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful and timely delivery of projects to our client in all regions of the globe. This role requires a blend of project management skills, system design and integration experience, leadership abilities, a client centric attitude and a strong understanding of Campbell Scientific logistics and operations. The Program Manager is responsible for removing operational obstacles and facilitating availability of required resources. This responsibility enables local project teams to successfully execute the end-to-end delivery process, from planning and coordination to execution and customer sign-off. This position may manage a team to effectively execute project delivery within a given program portfolio. The Program Manager demonstrates skills consistent with project delivery, such as project management, system integration, client relations and the successful execution and completion of projects within the organization.You’ll Support Your Team by Performing the Following Key Tasks

Create and maintain a strong culture in accordance with Campbell Scientific's core ARCTIC values Accountability, Respect, Client-Centric, Teamwork, Innovation, Continuous Improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership. Lead and manage multiple market-related projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Stakeholder Management. Work closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure the successful integration and deployment of market specific systems and services.

Project Planning and Execution. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations. Ensure all deliverables are met within established timelines and budgets.

Cross-functional Leadership. Lead cross-functional teams from engineering, software development, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Risk Management. Identify project risks and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential delays or disruptions in project delivery.

Technical Oversight. Maintain a working knowledge of market specific applications, technologies and systems, such to effectively manage technical aspects of the projects.

Compliance and Standards. Ensure that all projects adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards

Performance Monitoring and Reporting. Track and report on project progress, key milestones, and performance metrics. Provide regular updates to senior management and other stakeholders.

Budget Management. Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while delivering high-quality outcomes.

Continuous Improvement. Identify opportunities for improving project processes, methodologies, and outcomes, incorporating lessons learned from previous projects.

Project Planning and Coordination:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist the project manager with creating the project plan.

Approve project plans.

Ensure alignment of delivery timelines with customer expectations and company goals.

Assist project teams to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely project execution.

Project resource oversight and allocation. Where local resources may not be sufficient, assign resources from other offices to the project team.

Ensure the engineering change order process is executed and impacts to project are transparent.

Manage changes and difficult situations according to Campbell Scientific values.

Maintain urgency to deliver on-time without compromise to quality.

Team Leadership and Management:

Lead and motivate delivery teams to achieve their goals and objectives.

Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Conduct regular project performance reviews and implement staff and stakeholder training programs as needed to ensure excellent skill competencies required in the delivery and execution of projects.

Be prepared to step outside defined job boundaries to help your team succeed and ensure excellent client satisfaction before and after the sale.

Logistics and Operations Management:

Monitor and ensure system support for all aspects of project execution, such as inventory management, supplier performance, internal resource priorities, global distribution etc.

Implement best practices for optimizing delivery routes and minimizing costs.

Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.

Monitor delivery operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety regulations.

Customer Relationship Management:

Ability to advocate for the client and appropriately manage contract and commercial aspects of the project.

Ensure that any issues or concerns raised by customers are addressed at the appropriate level within the team in a timely and professional manner.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

Develops project level key performance indicators (KPI’s) including project effectiveness, Milestone Hit Rate, and Budget performance. Receives updated KPI’s from team regularly and maintains and reports to the division leadership on the program level KPI’s.

Reviews project status reports and ensures sufficient forward progress is being made.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or technically related field.

Commitment to obtain certification in project management (PMP) within 12 months of hire date.

Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of productivity software.

Understanding of scientific principles underlying measurements, instrument operation, and decision support software.

Experience using common Customer Resource Management (CRM) tools.

Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to independently manage a challenging workload when faced with unexpected changes in priorities and deadlines.

Ability to collaborate closely with local and remote team members.

Practitioner expertise in the HydroMet, Aviation Weather, Surface Transportation, Renewable Energy and/or Environmental Research markets.

Committed to the highest standards of excellence and integrity.

Ability to address and remove obstacles in support of individual project needs.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong technical experience using Campbell Scientific products in the aviation industry.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-centric approach.

Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles.

Work Environment

Office work (typical office and light electro-mechanical manufacturing/assembly) and travel (up to 25% of time per year) environments.Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry weight over short distances.
