Growing together.  The Business Systems Analyst primarily supports the design and development of applications, reports, and database platforms. May also elicit and refine information systems requirements to solve moderately difficult business problems, or segments of more complex problems, and communicates the procedures for implementation of these solutions.If you are located in San Antonio, TX, you will have the flexibility to work remotely, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges. Hybrid role - on site 3 days per week, remote 2 days per weekPrimary Responsibilities:

Reviews and analyzes on-going customer requirements for enhancements, bug fixes, and maintenance requests for information systems

Analyzes charts and/or diagrams of solutions to be developed and defines system requirements in terms of equipment capabilities

Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business

Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences

Develops complete descriptions of all specifications and solutions required

Develops common operations, which can be reused

Participates in certain aspects of user consulting, systems analysis, general systems design, vendor contracts and detail systems design

Learns user functions, organization and role in the enterprise to the extent required

Develops or assists in the development of work plans, task sequencing, and runs test cases to evaluate the extent of how tasks may be performed concurrently

Performs necessary investigations, analyses, research, and evaluations to determine project feasibility

Assists in maintaining a Medicare Advantage Adjustment Risk knowledge base

Performs all other related duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field such as Database Management, Information Systems Technology/Management, Computer Science, or Data Science (4+ years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree)

3+ years of experience participating in the developing requirements process

3+ years working with process flows and/or data flows

3+ years working with software development lifecycles

Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking experience/ability

Demonstrated ability to effectively work with both internal and external clients

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience doing industry research and related documentation

Experience designing and developing Wikis

Experience implementing and supporting third party applications

Experience with major systems implementations

Experience developing reports utilizing various data sources
