Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Quality team in San Antonio, TX.This position will be supporting VC-25B program as a lead within the Quality engineering function. This role will support the overall quality management system and will have key interactions with operations, quality inspectors, production engineering personnel and the IPT leadersPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is focused on deploying proactive and preventative methods and tools to mitigate risks to product designs and production processes, as well as providing guidance to production engineering and quality inspectors on Product Verification and Acceptance Plan (PVAP) to verify product conformance to design requirements. Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. Provides interpretation of complex requirements. Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities. Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Develops and implements corrective actions. Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under minimal direction.This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance post-start for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

5 or more years of experience working in a manufacturing or quality environment

3 or more years of experience reading, understanding and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications

3 or more years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA)

Experience leading and developing other team members

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

5 or more years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)

2 or more years of experience in leading teams performing technical engineering work in either a formal or informal capacity

3 or more years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
