You will be responsible for evolving our current analytical competencies which monitor our claims production environment . You will enable data-driven strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for existing product improvement and new product development. Your experience will include translating business needs into analytic questions, using SQL to access data and develop robust & insightful data visualizations with tools such as; Power BI, Tableau and similar platforms.Essential Job Functions:· Designing and implementing robust analytic and reporting solutions to support the identified needs· Accessing data, designing summary data layers and constructing and manipulating large datasets to support planned analyses using SQL, Python, and other tools· Assessing existing available data, identifying data gaps, and collaborating with Data Strategy and business partners to develop approaches to closing the data gaps· Building dynamic dashboards using Power BI and/or Tableau· Collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to gather and analyze needs and requirements· Conducting analyses of the data, ranging from descriptive reports to statistical analyses to predictive modeling· Communicating complex technical subjects to technical and non-technical audiences, such as but not limited to training analytic and business users how to use data layers and reporting tools, including development of documentation and training materials· Tailoring analytic solution to the specific client needs and constraints of delivery timelines· Applying creativity in developing analytic solutions based on available data sources, and in representing analytic findings in reports, tools, and other media to support most effective translation· Constructing and delivering written reports of the analytic findings in a variety of formats (reports, powerpoint), including visualization of data and findings, formulate recommendations, and effectively presenting the results to non-analytic audiencesThis position can be located in Woonsocket RI; or can be based remotely in the U.S.Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in data analysis constructing analytical solutions to business problems (experience with administrative claims data such as pharmacy or medical claims a plus).

2+ years of experience developing analytic and reporting methodology.

2+ years of experience using SQL or similar methods to access, extract, manipulate and summarize data.

1+ years of experience building Power BI or Tableau dashboards to reflect business analytic needs.

1+ year of experience working directly with business partners to understand the business needs and translating those needs into analytic solutions.

2+ years of experience communicating complex technical subjects to non-technical audiences via both written and oral communication.

Preferred Qualifications

Independent, curious, eager to tackle a wide variety of problems, and able to quickly develop knowledge and understanding of new domains and underlying data sources.

Experience as a project lead with cross-functional teams to develop innovative analytic approaches leveraging all available internal and external data sources.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Experience developing, testing, documenting and maintaining standardized outcome metrics meeting diverse business needs.

Experience developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining methodologies for standardized and repeatable reporting for internal and external audiences.

Ability to interact with and influence decision-making by non-analytical business audiences.

Working knowledge of statistical methods and the ability to apply them in appropriate use cases (e.g. predictive analytics)

Ability to travel up to 5% of the time, as needed, per business needs.

EducationBachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience is required.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$63,300.00 - $139,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
