At TFS, you will help create best-in-class customer experiences in an innovative, collaborative environment.Who We’re Looking ForThe Toyota Financial Services Data Engineering team is looking for a hands-on, passionate, and highly motivated Senior Data DevOps Engineer. This role will help modernize and implement DevOps methodologies with the goal of fully shifting from a hybrid on-premises and cloud organization today to a fully cloud-centric organization with DevSecOps, Data Ops, automated delivery via CICD, and automated preventive controls.Reporting to the DevOps Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Data and Analytics (DnA) Department's objective to ensure safe and reliable software deployments and measuring application service performance and availability by implementing Observability best practices, and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery Pipelines to handle the full application lifecycle.What you’ll be doing

Maintain data within a warehouse environment supporting delivery of quality data outputs.

Maintain platform performing regular tasks such as user management and audit, resource utilization, alerts monitoring, code reviews.

Modify existing ETL processes in order to achieve automation where possible and to accommodate changes in the data structure.

Have a good understanding of data platform best practices to achieve economies of scale, cost reduction and efficiencies.

Architect and maintain our code base for ETL and ELT pipelines, batch processing and streaming systems.

Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

Assure governance of processes in delivery management and production as per selected delivery model

Assure adherence to data governance policies (CCPA, SOX, etc.) as mandated by enterprise.

Design solutions for automatic User Access Reviews across various systems that host the and process the data.

Accountable for the technical leadership regarding the Data platforms support. Ensuring a sound and future-proof architecture is planned and the implementation meets the technical quality standards.

Drive adoption and alignment of DevOps and cloud engineering practices across the Data Engineering team.

Build and implement best-in-class CICD capabilities to automate data pipeline delivery.

Definition and implementation of DevOps best practices, SRE, and elements of data ops, where applicable

Work closely with platform teams to integrate tooling into existing pipelines.

Collaborate closely with enterprise cloud engineering teams to unlock infrastructure for our Data Engineering teams while ensuring well-managed practices.

Partnering with Risk Management and Security teams to identify the standards and lead the measurement of and deployment of secured and compliant Data Platforms and services.

Enhance the quality of data following the guidelines provided by Data Governance and Architecture teams.

Engage with the Data Engineering team to transform our disparate delivery models into a refined operating model that implements the best of data ops.

Performing site reliability engineering development efforts to improve availability and performance of software systems (debugging, triaging, and identifying root cause for failure in a production environment and performing postmortem analysis)

Defining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Runbook for troubleshooting production issues; developing software operations resilience patterns for deployed software infrastructure and implementing highly available and resilient software systems

Planning and implementing Disaster Recovery of Data platform systems.

Working with Enterprise Observability tools

Guide continuous innovation and development of DevOps capabilities.

Promote an environment of teamwork within the Strategy & Innovation team, including the sharing of ideas & knowledge,

Encouraging new ideas & improvements from team members, joint co-ordination of work effort, regular team meetings, and Celebrating successes

Contribute to and assist in the day-to-day management and improvement of operational activities.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field

AWS Solution Architect

Proven hands-on experience in DevOps and DataOps developing tools and frameworks to codify DevSecOps, DevOps, and DataPipelines best practices for development teams, including test automation; and experience in Site Reliability Engineering (debugging, triaging) for failure in a production environment), and performing postmortem analysis.

Experience in implementing DevOps CICD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, Ruby & Python

Experience operating Data Warehouse Technologies like Netezza, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, etc.

Expert in AWS cloud technologies, including data-specific technologies such as Red Shift, RDS, Airflow, EMR, and broader technologies such as EKS, ECS, EFS, and S3.

Experience and understanding of the Kubernetes Platform and container lifecycle management.

Experience in supporting on-prem hosted Data Platforms such as Informatica, Oracle-Hyperion, and OBIEE

Solid understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouse, ETL Architecture & Development.

Good understanding of data engineering challenges and proven experience with data platform engineering (batch and streaming, ingestion, storage, processing, management, integration, consumption)

Experience in resolving data related security challenges.

Understanding of SOX, ITGC and other governance policies

Good understanding of various delivery approaches, well versed in agile.

Added bonus if you have

AWS DevOps Engineer Professional

SnowPro certification or equivalent

Experience with AWS and the migration of on-prem data to the cloud.

Experience with code based ETL delivery and design using Python, Scala, or a similar language.

Experience with delivering infrastructure as code.

ITIL framework best practices Certification

Experience with data visualization, aware of various tools, technologies
