Analyzer Technician Location: Midland, TXJob Id: 3987 # of Openings: 1 Analyzer Technician (Midland, TX) Pay:$26 - $44 per hour Expiration Date of Job Posting: Continuous POSITION SUMMARY: The Analyzer Technician/Field Service Engineer is primarily responsible for performing field service at client locations, including the installation, maintenance, and calibration of on-line gas chromatographs, continuous gas analyzers, and RVP analyzers. They may also handle installation, maintenance, and calibration of various other analyzers, such as O2 and H2s analyzers, BTU, IR, UV, and Paramagnetic. Field Service Engineers must have a customer-oriented approach and maintain excellent relationships and service for existing customers. They may also provide technical product support to customers and employees. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent experience with process gas analyzers.

Strongly preferred: 2+ years of analyzer experience in the Petroleum Industry.

Broad-based knowledge of analytical methods and products.

Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with good presentation skills.

Proficient in computer skills with MS Windows, Office, Outlook, and the Internet.

Demonstrates problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Good mechanical aptitude and industry knowledge.

Ability to work under minimal or no supervision.

Possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record; able to travel to various locations within the territory up to 75% of the time, including overnight stays.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform field service, including installation, maintenance, and calibration of on-line gas chromatographs.

Fabricate analyzer systems, both in a fabrication setting and at client locations.

Install, maintain, and calibrate various other analyzers, including O2 and H2S analyzers, BTU, IR, UV, and Paramagnetic.

Provide technical sales support and presales application design when necessary.

Establish and promote a positive, friendly, and helpful customer relationship while learning their operations, needs, and preferences.

Perform troubleshooting and startup at customers' facilities.

Interface with SCADA, DCS, and radio systems.

Gather and report information regarding product or customer issues to management.

Consistently identify new sources of business.

Provide all necessary reports to management and other departments.

Work with bending stainless-steel tubing.

Perform other duties as assigned.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.

Attends required safety training classes and maintains necessary certifications.

Completes product line training.

Conducts all business activities in accordance with Winn-Marion policies.

Able to meet deadlines.

Demonstrates high degree of interpersonal skills to interface with customers and team employees.

Checks and responds to all company communications on all scheduled workdays, including voice mail, emails, and text messages. Makes sure that old voice mails are cleared regularly so that the mailbox does not get full.

Complies with all applicable Company safety requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK CONDITIONS:

Able to sit and work at computer keyboard for extended period.

Able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds.

Requires extensive travel by automobile within territory or to branch offices. May require occasional travel by air.

Maintain regular and on-time attendance. Hours may exceed 40 hours per week. Able to work weekends, holidays, and able to respond to calls as needed to fulfill business objectives.

The employee may be required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch, and work in close quarters.

Employee may be exposed to extreme weather conditions, warehouse environments, or production/manufacturing locations.
