The Server Support Analyst is responsible for the design, implementation, oversight, andongoing management of the server environment of the hospital organization. The primary goalsof the Server Support Analyst are ensuring excellent functionality, performance, reliability,security, fault-tolerance, and operational continuity of the hospital’s servers. The Server SupportAnalyst performs analytic and technical work to maintain optimal performance of the serverenvironment in support of the applications that run to support the organization. The ServerSupport Analyst will communicate effectively verbally and via written forms. Additionally, theServer Analyst will demonstrate and maintain industry specific knowledge and judgmentassociated with the specific area of expertise.SHIFT AND SCHEDULE FULL TIME 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONSInstall, configure, support, and maintain server infrastructure components such as servers,server chassis, virtual environments, virtual infrastructure, storage environments, andother equipment as assigned. Install, configure, support and maintain server software components to facilitate serverbased services such DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Email, and other domain basedservices as assigned. Deploy production and test servers, develop server and storage templates, create scriptsfor automating deployment of standardized server and storage infrastructure resources. Develop and maintain documentation of all server and storage equipment, and softwareservices to facilitate the management, optimization, expansion, and troubleshooting of theserver infrastructure. Develop and maintain adequate configuration documentation to ensure rapid deploymentor replacement of existing server components to ensure business continuity. Work to ensure excellent server security of all networked assets in accordance withhospital policies and procedures, including those defined by HIPAA and other industrystandards. Monitor server and storage capacity and performance to adequately scale the server andstorage capacity and configuration. Research and recommend new technologies to facilitate the performance of the hospital’sbusiness objectives. Ensure that all IT equipment meets hospital and industry standards. Undertake routine preventative measures to implement, maintain, and monitor serversecurity and performance. Provide input to projects, training or information to individuals on tasks and projectswhich include a server and storage technology component. Analyze and resolve faults, including those of both major and minor impact to the serverinfrastructure, utilizing the tools and documentation standards defined by HISdepartmental policies and procedures. Work with other departments, including those within and outside the HIS department, infulfillment of hospital tasks and projects. Monitor the use, by hospital employees, of server and storage resources to ensurecompliance of hospital standard use policies.Daily Operations: Resolve assigned support and service requests in a timely, effective, and courteousmanner; utilizing tools and documentation as defined by HIS policy. Perform maintenance activities in pursuit of all general responsibilities specific toposition. Participate in assigned meetings, committees, etc. in accordance with assignedresponsibilities. Participate in projects at a level in accordance with respective job responsibilities. Contribute to the departmental knowledge base, in order to improve documentation ofexisting systems and problem resolutions. Coordinate productively with other hospital employees, including those within andoutside the HIS department. Provide routine updates on ongoing tasks and projects to stakeholders, in accordance withHIS policies and procedures. Identify, research, and work to implement on areas of improvement within the areas ofexpertise. Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders who rely on service from the HISdepartment. Maintain excellent industry knowledge respective to the area of expertise.Responsibilities Specific to Server Support Analyst 2 Complete tasks in a timely and effective manner as assigned. Serve as subject matter expert on one or more department specific focus areas, asassigned by management. Act as general support for server and storage technologies. Act as specialist support for one or more specific areas, as assigned. Act as support coordinator for larger tasks and issues, as assigned. Participate as a subject matter expert in assigned projects. Direct work team for project, as assigned by PM or manager.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in equivalent field, or equivalent experience, required. Industry specific training required 1-4 years of experience as a server analyst required Industry specific associate-level or professional-level certification desired Demonstrated skillset in multiple relevant technologies required Demonstrated customer-service and communication skills requiredRequisition ID: 2021-1717 External Company Name: Midland Health External Company URL: https://www.midlandhealth.org/
