Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Landscape Foreman with a strong background in construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee landscape construction projects, lead a team of workers, and ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards on time and within budget. This position requires excellent leadership skills, hands-on construction experience, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a crew of landscape workers on various construction-focused projects.
Read and interpret landscape design plans and construction blueprints.
Oversee the installation of hardscapes, such as pavers, concrete, retaining walls, edging, and drainage systems.
Operate and maintain construction equipment such as skid steers, trenchers, compactors, and other tools.
Manage material orders, deliveries, and inventory on-site.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
Conduct quality control inspections to maintain the highest workmanship standards.
Communicate effectively with clients, management, and team members to coordinate work schedules and project progress.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the construction process.
Train and mentor team members, providing guidance and technical support as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in landscape construction or a related field.
Proven experience in supervising and leading a construction crew.
Strong knowledge of landscape construction techniques, including grading, drainage, and hardscape installation.
Proficiency with construction equipment and tools.
Ability to read and understand construction blueprints and landscape plans.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift heavy materials, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
