JOB TITLE: Scrap Yard Maintenance Technician

LOCATION: (East Houston) Houston, Texas 77020

SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday 6a-6p, Saturday 6a-3p

PAY: $18/hr.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: A bilingual (Spanish) maintenance tech that must have computer experience. Someone who can grow into a #2 position to cover for the supervisor if they are gone for the day. Dependable who is willing to work a lot of OT.

DUTIES:

Inspect, operate and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunction.

Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, forklifts, hand tools, or power tools.

Performs routine maintenance such as conveyor belts, motors, checking fluid levels, lubricate machinery, replacing filters, or doing other preventative maintenance work.

Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.

Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as wrenches, hammers, hoists, saws, drills, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical/electronic testing devices.

Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical/electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.

Orders parts, supplies, or equipment as needed and maintain spare part inventory.

Record production repair and maintenance machine information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Able to lift to 60 lbs. and work in various positions, such as standing, bending, kneeling, etc.

Must have previous work-related skills, knowledge, or experience working with electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
