HIRING FOR HOTEL MAINTENANCE STAFF

The Travelodge & Howard Johnson hotel is looking to hire a Groundskeeper / Maintenance Staff that will perform daily maintenance work on premises.

We are located within a quarter mile from the Hobby Airport. If you like working in customer service and have work experience in the hotel industry, we’d like to meet you. You will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.

Daily Duties Include:

- Perform daily upkeep and repairs of hotel property and rooms as needed.

- Perform daily quality checks of specified rooms.

- Assist with Front desk, laundry, and housekeeping as needed.

- Perform daily grounds and parking lot trash pickup.

- Perform routine preventative maintenance checklist items as needed.

- Assist with projects and renovations as needed.

Requirements Include:

- Must have basic maintenance and upkeep experience in hotel or apartment.

- Must be able to perform all tasks and duties related to the job.

- Must be proficient with repair equipment and tools pertaining to the job.

- Should be able to complete assigned tasks as quickly and efficiently as possible without being supervised.

- Should be able to stay organized with assigned work and keep track of work completed on a daily basis.

- Should be able to occasionally lift, push, slide, and otherwise move items weighing approximately 50 pounds or more.

- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

- Must have excellent communication skills, professional and friendly attitude, multitasking ability and team player personality.

- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Saturday and Sunday is mandatory.
