Research Assistant I - Neurosurgery

Additionally, experience with basic science research and/or experience in neurologic diseases is preferred.Conducts research experiments and projects
The applicant will coordinate and participate in translational scientific research projects under the direction of professional staff members.
Conducts experimental surgery and performs experiments to assess different strategies of blood brain barrier breakdown and intraarterial cellular therapy for treatment of brain tumors.
Operates laboratory apparatus and equipment
Constructs, assembles and operates laboratory apparatus and equipment.
Utilizes laboratory equipment to carry out experiments.
Data gathering and analysis
Keeps detailed, thorough notes of experiments in a lab notebook/electronic record in English, and routinely discusses data with supervisor.
Records and interprets results from in vitro and in vivo experiments.
Routinely presents at the lab meetings and submit abstract to national/regional scientific meetings.
Clinical Research
The applicant will participate in clinical research projects involving gathering of clinical data, analysis and manuscript preparation, as well as administrative duties related to research.
