Fire Alarm System Project Manager - Convergentz

Selected candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities of all Fire Alarm System projects to ensure that project goals are accomplished. Reviews project proposals to determine goals, time frames, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources.
Develops project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
Formulates and defines technical scope and objectives of project.
Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
Assigns duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to project personnel.
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
Review's status reports and modifies schedules and plans as required.
Prepares project status reports and keeps management, clients, and others informed of project status and related issues.
Coordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specifications.
Manages project documentation and correspondence.
Manages the project's development and oversee all project activities, coordination, schedules, scope of work, installation, plans and specifications (if applicable), deadlines, and verification.
Generate customer billings and approve supplier invoices for assigned projects.
Follow safety standards to the highest degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
Assist with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper coordination and cooperation for project completion.
Provide feedback, track, and make a note of field change information for the project.
Prepare monthly progress, financial, and other reports for assigned projects.
Forecast monthly project invoicing and related costs.
Prioritize, multitask, work well under pressure, work within a team atmosphere, and support other members of the team.
Perform all business activities with integrity and at the highest ethical standards.
Qualifications :
High level of reading, interpreting, and applying system design plans, as well as building construction drawings and documents.
Must be able to differentiate types and colors of electrical wire.
Proven electro-mechanical aptitude (based on previous experience and/or education) and user PC/software skill.
Experience ensuring compliance with safety, OSHA, ANSI, Federal Acquisition Regulation and other project-related rules and regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent networking skills, business-minded, change orientated, and pro-active.
Excellent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must possess a valid Texas driver's license with a safe driving record.
Education and/or Experience Required :
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management from a four-year college or university.
8-10 years of experience in project management and servicing fire safety equipment.
