Texas, Houston, 77001 Houston USADescription THE OPPORTUNITYWe are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our manufacturing client in Houston, Texas. As a Staff Accountant, your primary role involves managing financial reports, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will also contribute to the team by assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and other financial decision-making processes.HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Preparing financial statements, tax documents, and monthly balance sheets. Managing accounts payable and receivables and assisting with the month-end and year-end close processes. Ensuring the company complies with financial regulations. Developing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures. Assisting with bank reconciliations, inventory spreadsheets, and intercompany processes. Being responsible for monthly depreciation, addition, and disposal of fixed assets. Providing support for informed financial decision-making. Assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Maintaining accurate financial records and managing accounts payable and receivables. Updating the inventory spreadsheet and ensuring all adjustments are accounted for.Requirements WHAT YOU BRING TO THE POSITION Must possess a minimum of one year of experience in Staff Accounting or a similar role. Experience with Bank Reconciliation and Analysis is required. Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries is mandatory. Knowledge of Financial Reporting and Tax Reporting is essential. Understanding of Accounting close process and Monthly Financial Close is required. Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.Our client is motivated to hire quickly so don't sit on this one!
