PC Technician

Description We are seeking a PC Technician to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role is part of our IT department, focusing on computer hardware and software maintenance and troubleshooting. As a PC Technician, you will be integral in ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. This role is a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore functionality Arrange hardware and coordinate the installation of cable systems Maintain and repair technological equipment (e.g. routers) or peripheral devices Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated Troubleshoot issues and outages, ensuring optimal performance and limiting disruptions. Requirements Proficiency in Computer Hardware Knowledge of Database Management Familiarity with Dell Technologies Experience with EO/IR systems Understanding of Linux Technologies Proficiency in AB Testing Experience with Active Directory Knowledge of Apple Devices Familiarity with Backup Technologies Experience in Cable Installation.
