Description We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our client in the healthcare industry, based in Houston, Texas. This role provides a contract to hire employment opportunity and involves managing vendor relations, sourcing products, and working closely with internal teams to ensure efficient procurement processes.Pay is up to $26/hr Depending on experienceResponsibilities: Develop vendor management strategies to ensure timely delivery of products and cost-effective solutions. Collaborate with the purchasing and equipment management team to maintain inventory levels and streamline procurement processes. Build a support team focused on biomedical devices including telemetry, ultrasound, and anesthesia. Partner with the sales team to present medical device solutions, including telemetry monitoring, ultrasound, and anesthesia machines to customers. Evaluate and recommend upgrades to medical devices based on changing partner needs or requirements. Assist in the preparation of material lists and requirements for new telemetry installations. Oversee the installation and creation of patient monitoring solutions tailored to partner workflow needs. Conduct product demonstrations and pre-site inspections for installations. Provide technical support for telemetry software and hardware issues beyond the capabilities of Technical Support Representatives. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and standards and apply this knowledge in daily operations. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of product solutions with customer needs and company goals. Provide technical expertise to sales, marketing, and customer service teams. Analyze customer feedback to improve product solutions and customer experience.Requirements Minimum of one year experience in a procurement role within the Healthcare/NHS sector Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Power BI for data analysis and presentation Demonstrable understanding of Budget Processes and Buying Processes Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage and resolve queries effectively Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High level of attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of procurement regulations and procedures in the healthcare sector Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Willingness to continually update knowledge of the healthcare industry and procurement practices.
