This application development position resides within the Business Systems application team. The successful candidate will be working for one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. The Business Systems application team develops and supports many custom solutions for approximately 84,000 miles of natural gas, gasoline, crude oil, and carbon dioxide (CO2) pipelines and over 150 terminals and products pipelines, for moving, storing and handling various chemicals and other products.On the Business Systems application team, the candidate will develop custom software solutions, build relationships with key company users, and be afforded opportunities for taking responsibilities and ownership of these solutions. The candidate will engage in challenging assignments with opportunities for growth in their career. Job Description:
Support the existing contract management application for terminals and products (CMS); work on projects to develop new technical solutions by utilizing technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Enhance, develop applications and manage new projects mostly based on C#.NET, javascript, and SQL technology to support the Contract Management System.
Interact with internal customers to analyze business needs, develop & implement solutions, train customers and maintain the application.
Position Requirements
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Systems, or a similar discipline is preferred.
Skill/Ability/Experience Requirements:
5 to 7 Years of work experience in an application development environment using Microsoft technologies
Extensive experience in using SQL to write and maintain complex business solutions.
Proficiency in all aspects of the .NET application model, specifically the presentation, business and data access (SQL Server) layers. Ability to design, write and maintain complex business solutions.
Must be fluent in .net framework environment (C# / ASP.net), SQL server data management.
Experience in the Project life cycle, Design, Development, Testing, Migrations, and implementations.
Very good interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate systems requirements verbally and in writing.
Experience working on multiple assignments simultaneously and juggling tasks based on relative priorities with supervision commensurate with grade level.
Uses time effectively and efficiently. Team player, values input of others and strives to solve problems for the good of all.
Can represent own interests and yet be sensitive to others. Is cooperative and encourages collaboration.
Experience in Crystal reporting is strongly desired.
Having Liquids or Gas Industry experience is a plus.
