Senior Accountant

Description We are currently seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to work with one of our clients in the Houston Galleria area - this role is 100% onsite. The ideal candidate will be an individual with a keen eye for detail, multi-faceted software expertise, and a passion for managing financial functions at a senior level.Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and treasury operations.

Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Deliver accurate preparation and timely submission of financial statements and reports.

Enhance existing procedures and processes for improved efficiency while maintaining stringent compliance with financial regulations.

Apply your proficiency in accounting software to improve our financial systems and broaden their functionality. The ability to work with a variety of software is crucial.

Manage the preparation for yearly audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.

Work in conjunction with the finance team to create strategic financial plans.

Conduct regular budget reviews and forecast future budget needs.

Ensure company compliance with financial policies and regulations.

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field; an advanced degree is highly desirable.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior accounting role.

Multi-software experience and the ability to quickly adapt to new software platforms.

Exceptional computer skills and experience working with MS Excel and accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks.

In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
