Staff Accountant

Description We are seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our team on a 6-month project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and providing financial analysis to support decision-making. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and timely general ledger accounting records

Prepare and post journal entries and ensure accuracy of financial data

Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies

Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Participate in month-end and year-end close processes

Assist with audits as necessary

Requirements

To be considered for this role you must have the following experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards

Experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively with a team
