Location - Any of our 16 Medical City Hospitals

Shifts - Days (no weekends)

RN Plus Case Management Program provides the experienced RN with acomprehensive blended program for HCAHealthcare. The experienced RN with currentMedical-Surgical, Telemetry, Progressive Care, or Critical Care Nursing experience willreceive the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to transition into the Acute Care CaseManagement Role.

12 - Week training for experienced RNs

Five (5) weeks of interactive classroom discussions, case studies, and clinical

documentation training with experienced HWS Clinical Instructors

Seven (7) weeks of Case Management Department Preceptorship

The RN Plus Case Management Program provides a pathway for the Medical-Surgical, Telemetry,Progressive Care, or Critical Care experienced RN to successfully transition into the Case Managementpractice with a strong core of nursing fundamentals and critical thinking skills.

The program is based on the American Case Management Association (ACMA) Compass CaseManagement Core Curriculum. The HCA Corporate and Division Initiatives will beincorporated as well. Learners will also be trained on the Midas Electronic DocumentationSystem and InterQual Criteria for Severity of Illness and Intensity of Services.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirments:

BSN required.

Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in an acute care environment

Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
