Job Description
The
Senior GIS Analyst will lead efforts to produce a variety of high-quality geographic and demographic materials, leveraging ESRI products, fundamental GIS concepts, practices, and procedures—analyzing data, interpreting client needs, finding the information that addresses those needs, and presenting the data in the best GIS format possible.What will your daily world look like? You will be compiling, manipulating, and analyzing geospatial data that contributes to business development, positioning and strategic planning that differentiates Stream and strive to enhance the company’s offerings in the areas of data visualization, business intelligence, and other insightful outputs and data visualizations in a compelling way to help drive strategy and support the real estate decision-making process.
The Responsibilities: Produces interactive maps, dashboards, reports, and presentations that brings data to life Integrates proprietary and subscription-based research data into engaging visualizations for the purposes of business development, external distribution, and client-based products Responds to internal stakeholder and external client requests for data and information Proactively searches for new and different data sources that elevates insights within GIS solutions Educates internal and external clients about GIS capabilities and resources Mines and extracts data from the variety of sources, and data engineering Customizes interface of ESRI apps and story maps using ArcGIS Online Assistant (by configuring json file). Creates custom base maps using “ESRI vector tile style editor”, popup windows using HTML and CSS via custom attribute display option in ArcGIS Online Research new approaches to address geospatial data development challenges Seeks end-user/customer input regarding additional geographic services and enhancements to existing services and processes Develops, shares and stores best practices Familiarity with Model Builder, Python Scripting and Machine Learning, open-source platforms like CARTO, and Mapbox a plus
Qualifications
Qualifications: BS/BA in geography, GIS, urban planning, economics, or relevant experience Strong working knowledge of the Esri platform: ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Applications as well as other data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau) 3 - 5 years of experience preferred, but not required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organizational and analytical skills Customer service centric Acute problem-solving skills Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills The ability to work independently and collaboratively Commercial real estate experience preferred Experience managing workload, ability to multi-task, succeed under pressure and effectively manage time
