Retail Fabric and Quilt Shop Associate

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-oriented individuals to join our team at our brand new quilt shop and sewing center. If you have a passion for sewing, quilting, or a genuine interest in learning about these crafts, we invite you to apply for the position of Retail Associate.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service: Interact with customers, assist them in selecting fabrics, finding suitable sewing tools, and providing knowledgeable recommendations based on their needs.

2. Fabric Cutting: A significant portion of the job involves precisely cutting fabric for customers' projects and purchases. Also cutting fat quarters and quilt kits.

3. Cashier Duties: Operate the cash register, process transactions, and ensure a smooth checkout experience for customers.

4. Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining an organized and well-stocked retail floor by lifting, carrying, and restocking fabric bolts and other merchandise.

Qualifications:

- No prior experience is required, but a genuine interest in sewing, quilting, or a willingness to learn is essential.

- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance.

- Physical stamina to remain on your feet throughout the workday.

- Ability to lift and carry fabric bolts and other merchandise as needed.

Schedule:

- Availability for weekday and weekend shifts is required.

- Typical hours are from 10 AM to 5 PM, with one or two evening shifts until 8 PM per week.
