Lead Landscape & Maintenance Tech

A private Homeowners Association located in Rockwall is seeking a Lead Landscape and Maintenance Technician. This position is full-time with opportunity for over-time. Under the direction of the Community Superintendent, the Lead Technician will be responsible to help monitor and maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and visual appeal of common areas of land (including but not limited to a 9-hole golf course), streets and buildings. Technician will work outside and must be able to withstand hot and cold weather. Common duties include mowing, pulling weeds, trimming hedges, planting flowers and shrubbery, fertilizing, chemical applications, watering, raking leaves, and generally keeping the golf course, common area lawn, plants, hedges in good shape, along with building and street maintenance. Lead Technician will cover for Superintendent during his absence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Supervise three (3) maintenance personnel in the absence of Superintendent.

Help monitor and maintain golf course, facilities, landscaping, grounds sidewalks, streets and common property in a clean and attractive manner.

Help monitor and maintain basic preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.

Assist other staff with larger maintenance repairs or projects.

Other duties assigned by Superintendent.

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of irrigation and equipment such as lawnmowers, blowers, trimmers, and be familiar with a variety of gardening tools to be used for different purposes.

Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.

Reliable

Valid driver’s license

Bi-lingual helpful

Physical Requirements:

Works regularly in outside weather conditions and will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat.

Possibility of exposure to vibration, mild shocks, moderate to loud noise level, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals

Able to meet and perform the physical requirements of frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling. (Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more)
