The Position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Traveling Superintendent to join our team. In this position you will manage the day-to-day onsite activities for various types of commercial construction projects including repairs, remodels, rebuilds, and new construction. This is a full-time position. The candidate will be required to travel out of town, work nights, work days and/or as the specific project requires. This does not preclude the superintendent from working in town (DFW) when travel is not needed. When travel is required, the superintendent will be paid per diem.

Responsibilities Include:

· Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule

· Interface with client representatives, subcontractors, vendors and READY team to accomplish projects tasks and goals

· Create and maintain daily reports with pictures for client and project manager reference

· Provide project supervision of quality standards and implement the QA/QC Program to ensure READY delivers the highest quality standards to our clients

· Read and interpret plans to ensure all aspects of the plans and specifications are understood and achieved

· Manage safety procedures according to READY guidelines

· Unload and account for all jobsite deliveries as required for each specific project

· Create 3-week look-aheads each week to be approved by management and distributed to the full project team on a weekly basis.

Minimum Requirements:

· Commercial construction experience with restaurant, retail, entertainment, convenient stores or medical projects

· Competency using a laptop computer with Microsoft applications, project management applications, and a smartphone to communicate with all levels of project management, vendors, and sub-contractors on an as required basis

· Ground-up experience with a variety of building structures

· Ability to multiple task as required

· Highly organized

· Ability to sustain an environment of Integrity, Trust, and Respect

· Ability to know and understand construction plans, specifications, standard practices, means, and methods

· Familiar with Kitchen Equipment and related MEP’s

· Ability to function in a fast-pace environment

· Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and with the project team

· Must be able to travel to projects. Overnight travel will be required.
