Property Claims Advocate

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our AGRC team. The qualified candidate can be office based, hybrid, in office 3 days a week. Your Impact as a Property Claims Advocate Applicant should have an understanding of property insurance policy terms and conditions. Applicant must be proficient in managing client, carrier and insurance brokerage relationships. Excellent organization and communication skills are a must. Should be able to effectively explain general property claims concepts to clients both internal and external. Duties and responsibilities
Advocate on clients’ behalf as respects commercial property damage and business interruption claims
Assist clients in presenting claims in accordance with policy terms.
Develop claims strategy. Act as liaison between clients and insurers and their consultants.
Proactively manage accountability of adjusters to established claims handling protocols/timetables.
Coordinate activities with insurer representatives and claims preparation teams, attend adjuster meetings.
Follow through for collection and payment of claims.
Provide continuous communication to internal Aon account team.
Enter claim related information into databases.
Provide services to improve and monitor claims processes and assist in reducing client loss costs by ensuring highest level of service from claims administrators.
Advise regarding selection process of independent adjusters as requested.
Escalate claims to senior management when warranted.
Travel as necessary to support clients.
May have flexibility to work remotely.
Required skills and qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years related claims experience adjusting commercial property claims.
The individual in this position must be a proven performer with strong technical knowledge in property insurance and corresponding work experience handling complex quota-share losses.
Minimum education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $70,000 to $90,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Texas. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
