Ready to get started?Responsible for developing and maintaining reliable local community relationships across designated therapeutic areas. They are focused on implementing on-site, community-oriented projects, engaging in patient education activities, reducing patient access barriers, and identifying best practices that can be leveraged across the industry to help achieve health equity. They will collect and report community-level data and successfully engage in recruitment and retention activities at Sanofi-sponsored trial sites. The community outreach and engagement Manager will advance health equity and support diverse and socially underserved populations in collaboration with internal and external partners.Main Responsibilities:Region-specific community awareness, outreach, and engagement strategy: proactively plan region-specific community engagement strategy in collaboration with DICT, CSU and strategic vendors, based on emerging indications and studies. Responsible for understanding the local ecosystem and developing tailored solutions to address the community's most pressing needs. Goals include:
Develop a strategic territory business plan that increase community engagement and awareness and contribute to patient recruitment activities.
Develop strong working relationships with KOLs and all other specialists in assigned geography as well as office staff and other important health care personnel, community organizations, trusted messengers and key patient advocacy support groups.
Plan, organize, and execute local community engagement programs in partnership with internal/external stakeholders.
Identification and engagement of trusted messengers/local ambassadors and potential investigators.
Direct community feedback, focus groups and surveys.
Community engagement implementation, event planning and hosting: strategically plan, and host virtual and in-person events to foster relationships among local community members and contribute to positive wellness outcomes. Planning includes venue search, prep, and outreach to confirm attendance.
Build and maintain robust relationships with new and existing sites and investigators: develop meaningful connections with relevant site stakeholders to support productive interactions between patients, sites, Sanofi and the community. Goals include:
Early site engagement and identification before a clinical trial – completion of a site profile assessment
Investigator advocacy in alignment with Sanofi’s priorities to identify new sites.
Involvement in processes that influence clinical trial operational performance.
Boost digital and DICT implementation.
Collate, prioritize, and recommend site-focused solutions.
Vendor and Patient Advocacy Group coordination: collaborate with Sanofi Community Alliance Network (SCAN) vendors, patient advocacy groups, and other strategic partners to launch local events and activities.
Support the implementation of R&R at the local level: work closely with Sanofi stakeholders to support sites in the identification of potential study participants through boots-on-the-ground and in-office recruitment.
Site issue escalation: support monitoring teams in issue communication and resolution with sites to improve operational quality and proactively identify site resource/infrastructure gaps.
Best practices and lessons learned: act as the local liaison and subject matter expert on clinical trial optimization based on community feedback. Collaborate proactively with all stakeholders and ensure insights/best practices gained are documented, communicated and lessons learned are shared to reduce repeated operational complexities.
About YouFormal Education and/or Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree required, plus relevant combination of training and experience.
Five years’ experience in community outreach and public relations, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Must be proactive, organized and compassionate. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required. Ability to work independently and/or in a team setting.
Broad understanding of the healthcare environment, decision making processes & market trends with a proven track record of accessing decision makers
Strong business acumen, strategic, critical thinking/problem solving and innovative thinking capabilities
Ability to navigate a hybrid environment
Can dynamically adjust priorities due to changing circumstances.
An agile learner who is comfortable operating in complex environments
Experience with omnichannel approaches, and can execute customer engagement through appropriate channels using insights
Demonstrated ability to use data and data analytics by unearthing valuable insights from data that can help lead to new solutions
Demonstrate a passion and learning aptitude for science and is proactive in strengthening knowledge related to disease-state, treatment options and healthcare trends
The ability to execute tactical initiatives, provide ongoing feedback, and prioritize multiple products.
Self-directed and organized with excellent execution and planning skills
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Must possess valid driver’s license, be eligible for insurance coverage and must be able to safely operate a vehicle
