About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Compensation Consultant to join our Wells Fargo Total Rewards Consumer and Small Business Banking Compensation Consulting Team. The team supports our National Branch Network employees through strategic consultation, compensation design, program management, and effective risk governance. The Senior Compensation Consultant will provide credible strategic and tactical consultation on compensation initiatives in support of company and nuanced line of business needs. The role will have the opportunity to help solve problems and address challenges to produce meaningful outcomes for business lines.In this role, you will:

Advise and consult on a variety of compensation duties:

Consulting on complex compensation issues/topics/projects

Research complex compensation data and condense results in a comprehensible summary

Job evaluation and job structure design

Offer recommendations

Lead and participate in a variety of compensation-related projects and initiatives at the enterprise and line of business levels.

Consult with business leaders on complex compensation projects using market data and internal evaluation.

Research and provide compensation analytics to support a large, complex business within a division, ensuring alignment with key organizational goals

Consult managers and partner groups regarding current and future needs for non-executive compensation processes, forming a strong link between objective setting, performance management, and compensation outcomes.

Resolve moderately complex compensation issues and work with a team to meet project deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Represent Compensation department on enterprise project teams.

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Compensation experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Experience consulting and negotiating with leaders on compensation issues/topics/projects/offers

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding compensation and risk management

Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of employees

Ability to effectively use facts and data to identify issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions and influence change

Experience researching external market data and internal policies and procedures to develop and present findings to senior leadership

Ability to create and improve process through strategic thinking

Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Workday experience

BS/BA degree or higher or relevant military experience

Job Expectations:

Locations:

This position must work in office and sit in one of the following locations: Minneapolis, MN; Des Moines, IA; Dallas, TX; and Charlotte, NC.
