Topgolf is seeking a Data Engineer to help drive their mission for advanced insights by building best-in-class dataassets. The ideal candidate has data warehousing skills, ability to work collaboratively, and a thorough knowledgeof programing languages. The position is responsible for working to maintain the current data warehouse anddesigning the integration of new data into the modern data architecture. This role will interface with technologyteams and contribute towards the growing business partnership centered around using data.Key Responsibilities:

Provides the Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading approaches to support On Premise, Cloud and Hybrid environments using, ETL tools such as Talend,AWS Glue, or FiveTran. Designs & develops data Archival, Purging and Retention policies of applications. Participate in near and long-term capacity planning for Analytics. Research and resolve data integrity and performance needs. 20%

Develops the deployment strategy of applications for various environments implemented in On Premise, Cloud (Azure / AWS) & Hybrid models. Recommends application architecture using cloud-based IaaS, PaaS & SaaS models 20%

Performs functional and non-functional software requirement analysis of the projects. Apply rapid prototyping and iterative development methodologies as appropriate to ensure solution keeps pace with business needs. 20%

Participates in design and implementation of standards, tools, and methodologies. Performs “Proof of concept (POC)” of tools and technology and creates “Decision Analysis” reports. Participates in the analysis, evaluation, and development of enterprise long term strategic and operating plans to ensure that the Modern Data Architecture objectives are consistent with the enterprise’s long-term business objectives 15%

Designs the application Data models & performs reviews. Builds the Application integration and data integration approaches of applications. 10%

Design and develop end-to-end pipelines and destinations for the transfer and storage of all data 10%

Develop deep partnerships with engineering and product teams to deliver on major cross-functional measurements and testing

Key Qualifications:

2+ Years Experience building complex Data Warehousing & Business Intelligence solutions

1+ Experience as data engineering resource on BI/Integration teams

1+ Creating large-scale data engineering pipelines and data-based decision-making tools in a cloud-based architecture

1+ Managing a cloud-based data environment that has complex platform integration and orchestration using tools like AWS, Airflow, Talend, RedShift, or similar

1+ Experience with visualization tools like QuickSight, PowerBI, Tableau, or similar

1+ Maintaining and establishing data governance policies

Knowledge of AWS Services such as Redshift, Glue, S3, Kinesis, Athena, and Redshift Spectrum or equivalent with another cloud provider

Experience with complex, high volume, multi-dimensional data, as well as machine learning models based on unstructured, structured, and streaming datasets

Strong communicator who can distill complex topics, and facilitate feedback from various stakeholders

Experience with common data languages (e.g., Python, Scala) and data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks)

Hands on practice of designing and developing data lake, data warehouse, ETL and task orchestrating systems

Knowledge and practice of continuous integration and continuous delivery strategies that move quickly

Flexibility and ability to handle context shifts

Highly motivated self-starter with a passion for making high quality analytical solutions

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Positive, enthusiastic attitude with ability to interact with cross-departmental groups
