Registered Nurse (RN) – Vascular Access Full Time NightsThe Vascular Access Department is looking for top skilled nurses. Are you ready to be part of a team establishing and growing a VAT team?Work Location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231Work hours: Full Time; Nights (7p-7a)Vascular Access Department Highlights:
Collaborate and provide services for all inpatient and outpatient units
The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs.
The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations
Here’s What You Need:
Nursing Diploma required or
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program required or
BSN preferred
One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program required
Vascular Access experience strongly preferred
Oncology, ICU or ED experience preferred
Sono-guided PIV experience helpful
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
Current BLS required
What You Will Do:Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
