Part-Time 1099 Interior Design Assistant

Are you passionate about luxury interior design and skilled in CAD and SketchUp? J.Fisher Interiors, an Architectural Digest-approved design firm in Austin, is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to join our team on a part-time, 1099 contractor basis.

Hours:

10–20 hours per week (flexible scheduling based on project needs).

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in creating and updating CAD drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and detailed layouts.

Develop 3D renderings and visualizations using SketchUp to bring design concepts to life.

Source materials, furniture, and finishes, ensuring alignment with project budgets and timelines.

Organize and maintain design samples and project documentation.

Communicate with vendors and contractors to coordinate orders and deliveries.

Support the lead designer with client presentations, mood boards, and other design-related tasks.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in CAD and SketchUp is a must.

Strong understanding of luxury design principles and aesthetics.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Previous experience in interior design or a related field preferred.

Positive attitude and a collaborative mindset.

Compensation:
