Position Summary

The primary purpose of the Floor Care Technician is to perform and oversee the day-to-day maintenance of all carpeted and hard flooring surfaces, using chemicals and heavy machines to perform preventative maintenance on floors.

Responsibilities

-Cleans and maintains floors and carpeted areas

-Properly manages inventory of all floor care equipment and supplies

-Train new floor techs

-Identifies damaged areas in need of repairs and communicates the information to the appropriate personnel

-Assists with cleaning tasks as assigned

-Follows safety guidelines when carrying out cleaning tasks; places signs nearby to alert others that the floors may be wet or slippery

-Organizes supplies and equipment and receives parts and equipment from orders and assembling equipment as required
