Warehouse person needed- Tile and Stone

Architectural Tile & Stone is looking for a warehouse person. We have been in business in Austin for 24 years. We are family owned and operated and offer benefits. We offer 401K and Health Insurance. We are a full turnkey fabrication stone slab shop, we also sell stone slabs to other fabricators, as well as a distributor for tile. We order the tile, it arrives to our warehouse and the customer will pick it up. Many of our employees have been with us for a LONG time. We want you to grow with us and continue to build your skills.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

-Operate a forklift to either move pallets of tile or move slabs

-Help load tile and stone slabs for customers

-When tile orders are received off of the truck, count the tiles to make sure what we received matches the order. Notify the team if you see damaged tiles.

-Move stone slabs within yard to better position them either for sales or client needs.

-Move slabs that are ready to be fabricated into the shop (to be cut by others).

-Keep warehouse clean and professional looking. This includes sweeping and picking up trash as needed.

-Organize cut slabs in the shop by bringing them out to our remnant yard, or throw them away as needed.

-Help tag slabs with inventory tags or hold tags for customers.

-Assist in making showroom boards. Measure, cut, and paint wood to back showroom/presentation tiles. Mount cleat on the back of the showroom board. This also includes installing cleats on walls for them to be hung on.

-Assist with general maintenance of the building.

-Use a tile saw or Makita to cut down tile or slab samples for sales/customers.

-Lift boxes, pack boxes as needed.

-It's common to get requests from sales/purchasing/customers asking you to help with various things. Being able to prioritize and initiate the next request on your own is important.

-May have to drive to the dump to take trash.

-May have to drive to a jobsite to deliver a piece of stone.

Requirements

-High School Degree

-English required, Spanish a plus.

-Drivers license

-Legal to work in the US

-General construction knowledge

-Good attitude!

-Able to work outside and lift boxes

-Professional appearance

-Experience with stone slabs and tile a BIG PLUS
