This position can be remote with preference on candidate residing in Houston, TX or Atlanta, GA
To develop & implement a long-term category strategy to maximize savings, quality, & delivery through the facilitation of a regional network of sourcing associates
Lead negotiations, supplier selection, supplier relationship, stakeholder management, & implementation of contacts across sub-categories
Partner with budget holders, business leaders, & buyers to identify, create, & execute strategic sourcing activities in the region
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
Create, sustain, & execute on time an updated cost reduction action plan for indirect materials to achieve the financial objectives of each business unit
Define & deploy the regional strategy for Indirect material, identify opportunities for cross-business collaboration and partner with top class suppliers to improve performance, reduce the cost of poor quality and align with business units needs and requirements
Establish category focused working groups to develop 3yr sourcing roadmap for all major categories covering 80% of regional spend, especially MRO and FM
Responsible for developing, implementing, & sustaining a regional Tiered strategy to transition spend from non-preferred suppliers to drive cost savings and improve leverage through rationalization
Collaborate with sourcing leaders, plant managers, & functional leaders to develop and implement supply chain levers that will drive cost reduction & improve supply chain efficiency.
Collaborate with the sourcing leadership identify & implement best practices relating to sourcing category management
Develop, implement & sustain an effective category management operating rhythm driving process efficiency and business results in order to meet targets
Facilitate collaboration across the Chart with Functional Budget holders to support the delivery of their key supply chain performance indicators
Manage all commercial agreements with Tier 1 regional suppliers
Your Education Should Be…Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, BusinessYour Physical Work Environment Will Require…Office and computer work.Your Professional Experience Should Be…
7+ years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: Supply Chain, Engineering, Sourcing or Operations management
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills at all levels, written and verbal
Extensive experience developing and implementing MRO & FM services/ material strategies within a global complex manufacturing environment
Experience of working in a complex matrix organisation across multiple geographical locations, understanding the constraints and working culture within them
Strong leadership capabilities to deliver results and with experience of leading a strategic procurement function, and sizable indirect organisation
Strong influencing and negotiation skills with demonstrated experience in negotiating high-dollar, complex procurement agreements
Knowledge of general business processes with experience in managing projects globally
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills at all levels, written and verbal
