Manager, Marketplace - Selection Strategy & Operations
Texas, Austin, 73301 Austin USAAbout the Team The Restaurant Selection and Growth team focuses on ensuring that our US Restaurant Business continues to grow through selection improvement and innovation. The team is responsible for expanding the scope of food selection available on DoorDash and giving consumers more reasons to visit our app. We also aim to make sure that all types of restaurants and food entrepreneurs can use DoorDash to grow their business.About the Role You will be responsible for leading new initiatives to help customers find the best, everyday food selection on DoorDash. In particular, you will focus on filling gaps in our current restaurant selection today, such as affordability and health. As part of this role, you will work directly with our restaurant partners to grow and improve their affordable selection on DoorDash. For example, you will work with restaurants to co-create and build new, more affordable meal options on DoorDash (e.g., $12 lunch, $30 family meals, etc.) You will also have the opportunity to launch new pilots and selection tests beyond working with restaurants– for example, you may work with prepared meal companies, local chefs, or grocery stores to source healthier meal options to sell on DoorDash. You love to problem solve and feel comfortable managing ambiguity
You have 6+ years of work experience in strategy & operations (consulting, tech, biz ops, etc.)
You can quickly develop a game plan on your own, with little context and background needed. You can then also iterate quickly on that plan as you get new information.
You love working with data and are experienced in analytics (SQL highly preferred)
You have managed a team
You are comfortable being scrappy and working in a start-up environment (e.g. calling up DoorDash customers to understand their perspective, testing creative solutions)
You have extensive experience with cross-functional stakeholder management and business decision making
You can simultaneously think about high level strategy, while also diving deep into the lowest level of detail
Compensation The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants.
