Texas, Austin, 73301 Austin USADescription We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team based in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be primarily tasked with processing bi-weekly and weekly payroll, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This role provides a contract to hire employment opportunity and will allow you to utilize your skills in areas such as ADP Workforce Now, Payroll Taxes, Multistate Payroll, and Full Cycle Payroll.Responsibilities: Accurately process bi-weekly and weekly payroll for a large number of employees Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations in payroll processing Manage payroll adjustments including retroactive pay, garnishments, special pays, and paid time off (PTO) adjustments Handle off-cycle payrolls for check adjustments, voids, and reissues Review and maintain payroll tax notices from agencies, ensuring accurate and timely tax withholding and reporting Assist with the registration process for new state and local jurisdictions Generate payroll reports for reconciliation of retirement plan contributions, employee benefit programs, and general ledger entry Participate in payroll-related audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries Utilize HRIS System to maintain accurate customer credit records Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed. Requirements Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now. Demonstrated knowledge of Benefit Functions. Experience with handling Payroll Taxes. Ability to manage Multistate Payroll. Experience in processing Expense Reimbursements. Ability to Reconcile Payroll. Experience in handling Full Cycle Payroll. Experience managing Payroll for over 500 Employees. Knowledge of Special Payroll Deductions. Familiarity with Retirement Benefits. Proficiency in HRIS System. Ability to Process Bi-weekly Payroll. Experience with Payroll Garnishments.
