This role will involve collaboration with a diverse range of business teams including Real Estate, Capital Planning, Launch & Expansion and Legal, to influence strategic decision-making and empower the business to make informed investment decisions.Success in this roleA successful candidate will exhibit strong ownership, effectively navigate ambiguity, and collaborate with business partners to influence outcomes. They will prioritize high-impact projects independently and quickly build trust within the organization, supporting informed decision-making in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Fully own the Grocery Real Estate proforma analyses
Partner closely with Real Estate, and Launch & Expansion, to ensure accuracy of leasing reporting and tracking, and serve as the Finance owner for portfolio management across multiple grocery banners
Partner with Real State to provide FMV (Fair Market Value) analysis and assess regional market rate impacts
Analyze current Real Estate processes and influence key decisions across multiple investments projects
Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance scalability and productivity.
Contribute to highly visible planning documents (i.e.: OP1, Guidance, REC packages, CAR reviews, etc.)
Own key deliverables for month-end close and controllership functions
Independently use financial and business systems (COGNOS, Coupa, Tango, Sales Force, etc.), and advanced excel functions to work with and manage large data sets.
Provide support with quarterly GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) framework requirements
Conduct ad-hoc analysis that will influence investment decisions, while driving long-term profitability across our growing portfolio.
Have a proven track record of high judgment, sound decision making, ownership of complex problems and an ability to deliver results in multiple areas concurrently.
About the teamThe Grocery Finance organization is dedicated to shaping the long-term strategy and future of grocery, omni-channel and new physical store formats across Amazon.Basic Qualifications
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
5+ years of experience in investment valuations (NPV, IRR, FMV, etc.)

The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market.
