With a global manufacturing footprint spanning three continents, GLOBALFOUNDRIES makes possible the technologies and systems that transform industries and give customers the power to shape their markets.Reporting to the Senior Director, Automotive End Market at GlobalFoundries, the Director of Automotive Power and High Voltage Analog will be responsible for the strategy and long-term market share growth of GF’s portfolio within the applications of Power Storage/Delivery and Motor Control and in a modern car. The strategy proposal shall address product and business aspects starting from product differentiation to revenue recognition. The right applicant will have a combination of business acumen and technical capability to interact with customer BU and R&D technical teams at their technical level and offer solutions to their present needs and collaboratively formulating their future roadmap requirements. He or she will also proactively translate market trends, technical and commercial requirements into actionable insights to inform and influence GF’s automotive strategy. A core requirement for this individual is the ability to translate customer requirements to market requirements (MRD) and assist in the development of process technology requirements (PRD) as a deliverable to our technology solutions-oriented culture. This individual will also work in partnership with the commercial and product teams at GF to win customer projects within the Automotive Power Segment.The preferred location is Austin/Santa Clara. Remote Candidates close to large Automotive customer locations are also accepted. Essential Responsibilities:
Understand market dynamics and requirements for Automotive Power Solutions (BMS, OBC, PMICs, Motor Control, General purpose Analog)
Serve as a champion of GF’s technology solutions with strong external presence at customer, technology conferences, trade shows, webinars, etc.
Define the market requirements, creating MRDs for new process technology and design IP
Interaction with customers in partnership with sales to drive profitable design win pipeline and revenue growth
Create and deploy compelling presentation collateral (Sales kit) on GlobalFoundries unique processes and provide sales team training for optimal customer adoption
Marketing campaigns and go-to-market strategy in partnership with marketing team
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
15+ Years of Experience in Semiconductor Product Field; 5+ year in a leadership role
Deep domain expertise in Automotive Power Management related product development/marketing
Travel Requirements: 25% of travel
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration
Knowledge of Semiconductor design and development flows
Experience managing customer quality issues
Language: Good English written and spoken skills
Strong team player with a positive attitude and proactive work ethic. Ability to identify opportunities and independently pursue.
Experience in working with international and diverse teams and with multiple levels of management.
Excellent verbal and writing skills. Good communicator and comfortable presenting to executive management and technical audiences.
