A CAREER AS A MALIN PROJECT MANAGER

Malin is looking for a Project Manager to work within our Systems Department and assume responsibility for large conveyor and material handling system projects. We understand the importance of maintaining our industry reputation, integrity, and customer-first approach. Software Program: Project, Project Online, and Synergis Adept ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Organize the entire project from order placement by customer through the installation and implementation phase: Schedule sub-contractors, work with material-handling equipment manufacturers and freight companies.

On occasion solicit and receive bids from designated vendors; on occasion select vendors based on company criteria.

Establish and manage relationships with customers and suppliers.

Obtain customer approval for project plans

Should be proficient with project management software ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Interact with sales personnel and customers as required to ensure necessary coordination and good communications.

Process approved project change orders.

Make periodic site visits to review project progress and report to management as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience

3-5 years experience as a Project Manager for material handling system provider, or closely related field General

Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Excellent time-management and phone skills

Problem solving

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong and ethical performance history

Ability to earn client trust with outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills

Desire and dedication for a long-term professional career

Willingness to travel nationwide (possibly international) up to 50% Language & Communication Skills

Ability to read and interpret customer communications, spec reports, and common documents;

Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, or members of the business community;

Ability to develop presentations via phone or in person that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to customers, top management and peers. Physical Requirements

Ability to drive an automobile and travel using public transportation including airlines.

Occasional bending and stooping.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear.

The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

The associate is required to use hands to type, handle, or feel objects, tools and computer controls.
