This position is responsible for the management of all manufacturing activities in support of Centrus goals and objectives, including fabrication, assembly, and supply chain. The Manufacturing Manager provides technical guidance and leadership to assure compliance with Centrus and regulatory standards and practices.Responsibilities Include:

Plans the scope of work for manufacturing including , supply chain, fabrication, schedule and budget for manufacturing activities.

Develops accountable cost estimates for new and potential work .

Manages and develops processes, procedures and metrics.

Manages and reports status as required to support manufacturing statement of work.

Supports and manages planning and analysis activities.

Interacts with other managers to ensure project interfaces are seamless - no overlaps or gaps, including design, engineering, manufacturing, operations and licensing.

Responsible for staffing, organizing and managing the manufacturing group.

Conducts performance reviews with employees and makes salary recommendations.

Manages manufacturing equipment and associated systems for manufacturing activities.

Works with engineering on specifications for all fabrication materials and equipment

Approves engineering packages to be used for fabrication.

Establishes procedures for fabrication and assembly processes.

Manages work to ensure that deliverables are met within schedule and budget.

Adheres to company, policies, procedures, code of conduct, security, and environmental and safety program requirements.

Sponsors lean/6 sigma activities for manufacturing processes.

Qualifications - ExternalEducation and Experience RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or equivalent combination of education and experience

A general knowledge in the use of composites in manufacturing processes

At least 5 years of supervisory/management experience

Strong oral and written communication skills

Training and/or experience with lean manufacturing methods

The ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance

Knowledge of NQA-1 and/or ISO 9000/9001 quality standards

Preferred Qualifications:

U.S. centrifuge experience is preferred

A current DOE Q-level security clearance

This position will require a preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a DOE security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government.
