Position Summary:This position is responsible for providing support to the overall operation of the Vanderbilt Men’s Basketball program. This includes, but is not limited to, program operations, travel, and overall programmatic structure. About the Work Unit:Vanderbilt University’s Athletics Department prepares student-athletes to become leaders and champions in life by placing the highest values on integrity, character, sportsmanship and victory. Vanderbilt is a charter member of the Southeastern Conference and is the conference's only private school. The university fields 17 varsity teams, 15 of which compete in the Southeastern Conference.Key Functions and Expected Performance:

Provide daily support to the overall operation of the Vanderbilt Men’s Basketball program.

Responsible for coordinating liaison positions (i.e. compliance, business office, Commodore Club, etc.).

Oversee all aspects of summer camps.

Assist with all aspects of recruiting visits, both unofficial and official, as needed.

Work closely with Head Coach, as well as the Athletic Business Office, to monitor purchases and maintain operating budgets.

Work closely with National Commodore Club and Black & Gold club on initiatives to support the program.

Work with Student-Athlete Development office to arrange community service events and ensure teams are utilizing career development programming.

Oversee and direct all aspects of team travel.

Comply with NCAA and SEC rules and regulations.

Performs additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Head Coach.

Represent the men’s basketball program and Athletics Department in a professional manner.

Education and Certifications:

A Bachelor’s degree is necessary.

Prior experience at the Division I level is preferred.
