From order management systems to e-commerce solutions, collaboration tools and more – we deliver on leading edge technology capabilities and keep Caterpillar running.Job Summary :As a senior leader within Caterpillar IT’s Cloud and Hosting services organization, you will lead the team accountable for the strategy, planning, execution, and operation of Caterpillar’s colocation, on premises, and mainframe services. This includes global responsibility for data centers, compute/storage, data protection, disaster recovery, data center networking, and automation. You will manage strategic relationships with key partners, define our strategic opportunities, deliver on daily operations and drive differentiation in how we work.What You Will Do:

Lead, develop and mentor a team of five IT leaders and their teams fostering a collaborative, high performing, and results focused culture

Partner with the business by providing expertise and thought leadership to help guide them through their strategic initiatives

Develop and implement strategies that align to business priorities, technology priorities, and changes in the IT industry

Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for hardware, software, and services.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Drive continuous improvement and innovation in hosting services operations.

Develop strong ownership of our IT budget and charged back services to ensure we are driving the most value for every dollar spent

What You Have:

A broad career of progressively complex IT experiences, including notable IT leadership experience.

Experience working closely with business partners, assisting in business case development, strategy execution and exceeding their expectations.

Ownership in their area of responsibility, strategic vision and the ability to speak about technology in a way that the business can understand

Strong judgement and good instincts, someone who can ensure decisions get made quickly but with the appropriate amount of supporting information

Agility, responding quickly to changes in requirements, business needs or market shifts

Compassion to drive, influence, and navigate the organization ensuring long term success for both technical and cultural goals.

Demonstrated focus on talent management and talent development

Communication skills to effectively work with others up, down, and across the organization

Deep understanding of information technology architecture, IT industry best practices and solution design

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience

Previous experience providing strategic direction for effectively managing staff, budgets, and business plans

Experience and success in leading global teams
