Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Manufacturing client seeks a Safety Health and Environmental Manager with a background in manufacturing and strength in safety engineering. This company has a generous pay scale and excellent benefits. The company wants to find a degreed EHS Specialist with experience in safety, employee health/hazards, environmental management, and compliance. This job is in Marion, Arkansas, a Memphis, TN suburb. Relocation assistance is available. The company has a strong preference for people with an automotive background, which is why I am advertising in your area.Working with a broad knowledge of Federal, State, and local safety rules, and a detailed knowledge of safety engineering principles, you will work toward reducing accident hazards and exposures. You will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements, such as OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other rules that affect the organization.You will work on the establishment of policies and directions concerning EHS. You will implement the EHS program, in compliance with corporate and government policies. You will provide compliance reporting. Will conduct workplace surveys, safety audits, safety assessment, accident investigations. Will be responsible for safety trainings. Some experience with OSHA programs such Lockout-Tag-out, Emergency Response and other related OSHA requirements is a plus.
